SANJIESAN CREATOR / Animated asset placement
Give an animated effect a consistent placement anchor
A small animated puff can grow convincingly and still jump when each frame is placed by its visible corner. Aseprite’s slice documentation includes bounds and a pivot for a central or base location. Use an original abstract effect to separate its placement anchor from the changing outline. The receiving application still needs its own explicit interpretation of that information.
Choose the point that must stay attached
Draw a simple original effect emerging from a marked point on a plain base. Identify the source position across its smallest and largest frames. Do not use the top-left visible pixel as the anchor merely because it is easy to find. As the effect grows, that corner may move far from the intended source. Keep the drawing’s changing shape separate from the point that determines where it belongs in the scene.
Describe the anchor in the handoff
Use the documented slice or pivot representation if appropriate for the file, and write how it relates to the full canvas or exported bounds. Check what the actual receiving route supports. A pivot stored in source metadata is useful only if the next tool reads it or the next creator applies it deliberately. Avoid silently mixing coordinates measured from the full canvas with coordinates measured from a trimmed frame.
Compare the effect in the intended scene
Place the frames or permitted output against the same base reference. Watch the source point rather than following the expanding edge. If the effect appears to slide, inspect placement before redrawing the animation. Then review the whole motion at the intended size. Keep a simple anchor diagram with the asset so later trimming or export changes trigger the relevant check instead of silently shifting the effect’s apparent origin.
