Find the open boundary before repeating a fill

A fill that escapes a coat outline and a pale fringe inside that outline are different problems. Repeating the same click often hides the distinction. Krita’s fill documentation describes reference-layer choices and adjustments to the filled region. Use those controls to investigate one small part of the drawing before changing every setting.

Check which marks define the region

Make a duplicate working copy and isolate a sleeve with a simple interior colour. Look closely at the cuff, the underarm and any crossing seam. Identify whether the region is truly closed on the layers the tool reads. A visible sketch on another layer may look like a boundary without being part of the chosen reference. Compare the reference choice with the actual layer stack rather than guessing from the composite picture.

Separate a leak from a fringe

If colour floods an unrelated area, investigate an opening or reference mismatch first. If it stays inside but leaves a narrow pale edge, inspect how the region meets the softened line. Try a modest regional adjustment on the duplicate and compare thin and thick lines. Do not use one aggressive expansion to hide every fringe: it may cross a narrow detail that was correctly separated before.

Judge the repair at the intended view

Return to the size at which the illustration will be viewed. Check that a small seam remains legible and that the repair has not thickened the silhouette. Keep the line correction local when only one opening caused the leak. Then try a neighbouring region with the same reference choice. The result you want is a reliable boundary and a clean intended edge, not a collection of unexplained settings copied to every drawing.
