SANJIESAN CREATOR / BUYING GUIDE
Choose a music service for the video and publication use
A track can fit the mood while the subscription you selected does not fit the project’s publication route. Epidemic Sound’s official pricing page and Creator Plan help page provide a concrete starting point. Use a short original video and describe its actual use before comparing the service. Do not let a broad royalty-free label answer every licensing question for you.
Compare the track against an actual edit
Prepare a short sequence with its important dialogue, action and ending. For previews the service permits, listen through those moments rather than only the opening hook. Ask whether the arrangement leaves room for speech and whether its energy changes at a useful point. A track with a strong beginning may have an unsuitable ending for this cut. Keep two genuinely different candidates instead of selecting several near-identical moods from their labels alone.
Describe who publishes and for whom
Write whether the video is for your own channel, a client, an advertisement or another distribution route. Epidemic Sound’s Creator Plan help page explicitly says that plan does not cover client work. Confirm the current offer for the actual use and ask about anything unclear. Do not infer that a personal channel permission covers a client’s paid campaign. Keep the project description specific enough for the provider to give a meaningful answer.
Plan the revision and later publication
Check what happens when a project is revised, published later or reused in another context after the subscription changes. Read the current terms for the chosen plan and retain the relevant project record. Do not assume a downloaded file grants unrestricted future use. Choose when both the musical fit and publishing scope make sense, with unresolved questions answered by the provider before the track becomes central to a final commissioned edit.
