Choose a display calibration device for the existing screen

A calibration device belongs in a colour workflow that has an identifiable display and output purpose. Calibrite’s Display Pro HL page provides device information and a buy entry, and its PROFILER page lists supported devices and software functions. Use those primary pages to check fit, without turning the purchase into a promise that every viewer’s screen or every print will match yours.

Name the display and the review task

List the exact display model, computer and operating system used for the artwork. State whether the task is still-image editing, video review or preparation for another output. Check the device’s current display-technology support and the software requirements for that combination. A product’s broad creative label does not establish fit for every screen. If a model or mode is unclear, ask the manufacturer rather than deriving compatibility from the screen’s marketing name.

Separate measurement from output assumptions

Describe what you will review after profiling: a known illustration, neutral areas and a representative colour transition, for example. Keep the viewing environment reasonably consistent for comparisons. Do not assume a changed screen profile corrects the source file or the receiving printer’s behaviour. If print matching is required, plan the separate proof and output-profile discussion. A display device does not by itself verify a whole production chain that includes other equipment and materials.

Choose the current device and software route

Compare the exact package, software access and connection with what you already own. Calibrite’s documentation distinguishes supported current and legacy devices, so check the actual model rather than treating names as interchangeable. Consider whether you can repeat the documented process and review its validation output. Choose when the device solves the identified display task; retain unresolved receiving-output questions instead of using a product purchase as evidence that the artwork is colour-approved.
